Keszthely, the capital of Lake Balaton is one of the main tourist destinations of Hungary. Its popularity can be thanked not only for what Lake Balaton offers but also due to its various cultural programmes.

In Keszthely there are three lidos, at which our patients and their family can enjoy discount prices. Besides water adventure, the most imposing sight in Keszthely is the Festetics Mansion, which is the third largest Baroques mansion in Hungary. This landmark attracts many tourists and it is the symbol of the town.

In Keszthely there are a lot of cultural events offering memorable experiences in bad weather and after the bathing season as well. There are 17  museums and permanent exhibitions giving cultural recreation to the whole family: The Doll Museum, The Shell Parliament, The Keszthely Dungeon (Torture Museum), the Waxwork Museum, the Marzipan Museum, The Bacchus Wine Museum, The Balatoni Museum,   The Cadillac Museum, The Georgikon Experience Farm, The Museum of Inventors,   The Hungarian Agricultural Museum’s  Georgikon Grange Exhibition, The Nostalgia Museum, The Radio and Television Museum, The Surber Music Machine and Phonograph Museum, The Hunting Exhibition,  The Model Railway Exhibition and The ‘Vidor’ ( ‘Smiley’) Toy Museum.

If you are a visitor in our town it is also worth looking around in the nearby settlements.The largest natural thermal lake of Europe can be found in Heviz which is only 6 kilometres from Keszthely. For cycling enthusiasts we can recommend the picturesque bicycle route around Lake Balaton

The „Villa Piroska” can be found in the centre of Hévíz; three hundred metres from its unique thermal lake. The history of “Villa Piroska” goes back to fifty years; it has always operated as a family-run enterprise. The complete renovation of the Villa started in 2012 and it opened its doors again in the summer of 2014 with nine rooms belonging to three different categories. Great emphasis has been put on the high degree comfort of the bed mattresses and the spaciousness of the rooms.
The atmospheric breakfast hall gives a great setting for consuming the delicious home-made breakfasts on offer. The Villa provides its guests with a preferential opportunity to use the wellness and medicinal unit of the Danubius Health Spa Resort Hévíz****, which can be found opposite the apartment.
